MOeBIUS: Recursive Sequential Combustion (Conference Talk)
Paper GT2021-59592 at ASME Turbo Expo 2021
MOeBIUS stands for a Momentum-Enhanced Blend of the Reactants With Recirculated Burnt Gases. It is a novel concept for high-efficiency and low-emission combustion, developed by CBOne with the support of the FFG.
The concept and the combustor design are presented at the ASME Turbo Expo 2021, Virtual Conference and Exhibition: June 7 – 11, 2021. Its principle is called recursive sequential combustor, a synonym for arranging the burners behind each other and in a circle, so that a considerable part of burnt gases emitted by one burner enters the next.
